Blaze Your Trail is the Hampshire collection point for ReRun Clothing

ReRun Logo.png

ReRun is a Community Interest Company aimed at prolonging the life of running clothes and equipment. Founded and run by Dan Lawson, Team GB 24hr Ultra runner and his wife and family Charlotte, Lilly and Ruby.

The idea of ReRun was born, to try and prolong the life of running clothes and equipment and save them from landfill. Extending the life of clothes by just nine months of active use would reduce carbon, water and waste footprints by around 20-30% each.

Did you know that the average lifecycle of a running shoe is 4-6 months, but it then takes a further 11,944 months in landfill before it decomposes!!

All profits made by ReRun are put back into worthy projects within the running community, working like a cooperative where the people involved though either donating or buying from RuRun has a say in the projects they support.

Just taking a look at how many pairs of running shoes I get through myself I am super keep to support them, but the nearest collection point I could find was in West Dorset, so I have signed up to act as a collection point for our area.

My aim to collect as much old running gear that I can, then get it to the guys down in Brighton so they can either upcycle it for resale back to runners, donate it to causes that can still make use of it as clothing, or recycle it.

If it's running gear, they'll take it - shoes, shirts, shorts, tights, base-layers, hoodies, jackets, tracksuits, vests, backpacks, sports bras, skirts, skorts, fleeces, coats, gillets, beanies, buffs, caps, gloves, lights, etc.

So if anybody in the club has a race shirt you never wanted in the first place, some running gear you don't wear anymore or some old running shoes you've recently replaced.  Then give me a shout and we can arrange a way for me to get it from you.  Or if you are a Hampshire based running club, perhaps you could arrange a collection amongst members and I can then arrange to collect from you in bulk.

If you would like to donate or get involved then please get in touch on 07769 647 483 or ianfrancisralph@gmail.com.
